Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Opel, a producer of motor vehicles, announced plans to create 300 new jobs at its factory in Gliwice. The source reports that the factory plans to establish a three-shift, linked with the planned launch of the new Astra model. The new employees will start working as of the beginning of 2015 despite the fact that the production of the new model will start at the end of 2015. All the new jobs will be created in the production department.
General Motors has been operating in Poland since 1994. The plant in Gliwice was created in 1998; currently it employs 3,000 people.
