Telekom Slovenije is the largest telecommunication company in Slovenia, with its headquarters in Ljubljana. The company is currently state owned but is going to be privatized. Still, Telekom Slovenije needs urgent restructuring (consolidation) measures and it also plans additional job reduction in the coming two years. At present the company employs 2,789 people, 98 less than at the beginning of 2014. By the end of 2014 it will lay off 50 people and another 250 in 2015. Of 250 people laid off in 2015, 40 will be retired and the rest will become unemployed. In 2016, another 250 people are planned to be laid off.
