The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Telecommunication service provider Vodafone is to create 450 jobs. The company increased turnover between July and September 2014 by 4,3 pc and therefore decided to hire 150 new employees in shops, 150 in call centres and 100 in its major costumer business. However, the new employees will receive lower wages than it has been common practice a few years ago.
Last year, Vodafone suffered from decreasing sales and had to dismiss 800 people. German Vodafone currently employs around 10,500 people.
