Description
Riha Wesergold, a German producer of fruit juices, will shut down its plant in Oehringen by the end of June 2015, making 180 jobs redundant.
The company has recently bought another plant in Waibstadt, where it employs 265 people. According to the management, neither of the plants are used to capacity, therefore making it unprofitable to maintain both.
The works council and trade unions are angry about the proposed plans and speak of a bad business decision.
