Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The management of Gastronome has announced the closure of its site at Luché-Pringé (Sarthe) which employs 165 workers. This decision results from a restructuring plan of the Gastronome group that has lost 53 m euro during the 4 last years. The management indicated that some dismissed workers would be offered jobs within the group and that alternative owners were being sought for the facility.
