Description
Refinery producer of bitumen, base oil, and paraffin products, Société de la Raffinerie de Dunkerque, has announced to its works council a restructuring plan envisaging 177 job cuts. As announced, the job reduction measure is linked with a decision to cease the production of refined crude-oil by-products, that are no longer considered as profitable.
According to the sources, a three months consultation process will be launched on 6 November. The union CGT has organised a 24 hours strike on 22 October to denounce the decision.
