Metsä Wood, part of the Metsä Group, has initiated a performance improvement program that will comprise structural changes making 140 employees redundant in Finland. The reductions will be carried out mainly through early retirements and will be implemented gradually over the coming years, starting later this year.
Metsä Wood mainly provides timber and engineered wood products for the construction industry. Headquartered in Espoo, the company employs some 3,000 people.
