European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 8 October 2014, pharmaceutical group Merz announced to cut 100 out of 1,000 jobs in Germany within the next year. The management did not exclude operational dismissals.
The company has recently suffered from a turnover decrease of 10 p.c. In the future, Merz wants to increasingly focus its business activities in the areas of esthetic and neuro toxins.
