Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Alfa-Beta Vassilopoulos, one of the biggest Greek supermarket chains, is to invest in new stores and create 1,000 new jobs.
As reported, AB Vassilopoulos, announced plans to invest €100 million in 2015 on the creation of new stores, as well as on the renovation of the existing ones, all over Greece, with particular emphasis to Crete, Northern Greece, Thessalia and Chalkidiki.
AB Vassilopoulos, established in 1939 in Athens, currently has 306 stores with a total of 11,408 employees; investments from 2011 to 2013 reached almost €350 million.
