European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
FEI Czech Republic with headquarters in the United States has announced the creation of up 500 new jobs at its Brno site. FEI has officially opened a new technology centre in the Cernovicka terrace industrial zone in Brno with an area of 27.000 m2. The company has invested CZK 700 million into the production of electron microscopes that are exported to all over the world. 98% of production is for export with the main clients being the world's biggest semiconductor firms as well as universities / research centres. The city of Brno (Moravian metropolis) is considered crucial for FEI thanks to its strategic location and abundance of skilled workforce.
