Description
AMAG (short for Austria Metall AG), an Austrian supplier of aluminum products, announced to expand its site in Ranshofen which will result in the creation of 200 new jobs.
The company has put a new hot rolling mill into operation in September 2014, which increases production capacities of aluminum plates and hot rolled sheets by up to 50 p.c. Investments of over €220 million turn AMAG into a 'prime location of the European aluminum industry that can tap additional market potential with its new product', according AMAG’s CEO. As a result, 200 new jobs will be created in the medium term. However, remains unknown when exactly these new jobs will be created.
