The Areva Group, leader in nuclear power, has announced its plan to recruit about 200 employees by 2015. They are to work on the dismantling of a plant located on the nuclear site of La Hague. This plant consists of old buildings from the 1960s that are now obsolete. The project will last until 2030 and will cost approximately 4 billion euros. Areva explains that it plans to recruit 40 employees immediately and 160 in 2015 (all will be given permanent employment contracts and receive the relevant training). Areva employs roughly 3,500 employees for its dismantling activities in the area.
