Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Duro Dakovic Group one of biggest and well known engineering houses and main producer of various types of traffic vehicles in Croatia announced plans to make 200 employees redundant, mostly managers and administrative staff.
As reported, in October 2014, the number of companies within the group will be merged and will be reduced from eight to four. As announced, the management board prepared the development strategy till 2020 which envisages financial restructuring and optimisation of the organisational structure.
Surplus employees will be dismissed in accordance with the collective agreement. The goal of the company is to have 806 employees.
