European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Juice producer Refresco Gerber is to cut 67 jobs in Calvörde. Currently, the company employs 290 people. Refresco Gerber evolved from the merger of Gerber Emig and Refresco in November 2013, both fruit juice producers.
As announced, the management considers the restructuring as a necessary measure in order for the site to remain competitive. It will affect all divisions and shall be implemented in a socially acceptable manner.
As reported, the job reduction measure will take place by the end of the month.
