Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Provider of outsourced energy, technical and facilities services, Cofely has announced that it is to create 200 new jobs as it sets up a major new centre at a North Tyneside business park. The company, which is part of GDF Suez, will provide customer support and service roles at the new site in Longbenton.
The multinational firm already has employees in the North East region and in addition to the 200 new jobs, 50 employees will move from other nearby sites. The new jobs which will cover a range of skills sets and be at various levels within the company are expected to be filled over the next 18 months.
