European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
As announced on 6 August 2014, German steel producer VAI Fuchs is planning to dismiss around 100 people. The company will cease production in Willstaett. Following the job cuts, this site will solely focus on product development. Currently around 262 people work in Willstaett.
VAI Fuchs belongs to Austrian Siemens VAI Metals Technologies which employs around 9,000 people in total.
