Description
IT consultancy and software company Computacenter has launched a social plan to cut about 232 jobs at its site in Roissy (Val d'Oise). It is understood that a small number of the affected staff will be offered the option of relocation to a new site in Pérols near Montpellier (Hérault), where the firm plans to create 270 jobs (see ERM Factsheet). In addition, some activity is being offshored to Hungary. Employees of the site of Roissy have demonstrated and went on strike against the closure on the 3 and 12 June. All unions except the CFE-CGC, asked for an improvement of the social plan.
Computacenter is a UK provider of IT infrastructure services with sites in Europe and South Africa.
