Description

The meat producer Danish Crown announced plans to cut 159 jobs as a consequence of supply decline. The redundancies affect several abattoirs: 80 employees in Faaborg, 26 in Blans, 29 in Herning and 24 in Ringsted. Some of the redundancies refer to seasonal jobs.

As reported the company expressed its concern about the declining number of pigs coming from the Danish farmers. Danish Crown has around 5,500 employees in Denmark.
