Belgium-based food retailer Cora has announced its plans to implement a restructuring plan. As reported, 447 jobs are threatened. According to the sources, the food retailer chain reported for the previous year a net loss of €11, 5 million.
As mentioned, the negotiations will commence after August 2014.
Updated, 09-10-2014: Cora and trade unions agreed on details of the restructuring plan to be implemented. As reported, forced redundancies will be ruled out and the restructuring will take place by means of early retirement measures. The final number of affected jobs and the timeline of the restructuring are not yet known.
