Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Linde Gaz Romania, a subsidiary of the German gas supplier Linde Group, has announced that it will recruit 300 employees at its regional service centre in Timisoara. According to the source, the centre will provide support for clients in Greece, Cyprus, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The company will employ analysts to work in the back office, front office and also as team leaders. While recruitment has begun, the source notes that there is no timeline about when the recruitment process will be finished.
The Linde Group has been based in Romania since 1996, with an annual turnover of €105.5 million. It currently employs 420 people. The ERM previously reported on worldwide restructuring at the Linde Group in 2009.
