Medical service provider and developer St. Jude Medical has announced that it will cut 200 jobs when it closes its site in Uppsala at the end of 2014. According to the source, St Jude Medical will relocate its productions to its existing sites in Malaysia and Costa Rica.
According to the source, St. Jude Medical claims the decision to relocate was for cost efficiency reasons. St Jude Medical has now entered into negotiations with employee groups. The source reports that St. Jude Medical Systems also has a sales office in Kista, but this site will not be affected by the job cuts.
