European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Car manufacturer Ford is to create 500 jobs for engineers within 2014 at its development center in Cologne. By now, 400 of the engineers already work there as temporary workers.
Ford employs around 24,000 people in Germany, 17,000 of them in Cologne where the Ford Fiesta is produced for the whole European region.
Between June 2011 and June 2012, Ford has already set up 700 new jobs at its site in Cologne after having cut 1,300 jobs in 2005.
