Description
German shipyard Volkswerft Stralsund is to create 250 jobs in 2014. The shipyard previously belonged to P+S Werften which filed for bankruptcy two years ago (see P+S Werften 2012).
On 1 June 2014, the Russian investor Witali Jussufow bought the company and currently Volkswerft Stralsund is part of the shipyard Nordic Yards. By now, 50 people work there. A big part of the new jobs shall be offered to former shipyard employees. The new owner also promised to create 500 jobs in total by the end of 2016.
