Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Spence and Partners, a Belfast-based financial services company, has announced that it is to create 107 new jobs at its city centre offices. The company offers pensions advice to its client companies. The source notes that the company currently employes 38 people in Belfast and this will increase to 145 over the next five years.
Full details of the types of jobs are not known, but it has been revealed that some of the positions will be in software. The expansion is being backed by Invest NI, who will provide significant funding for the expansion.
