Description

Sausage-skin maker Devro has announced that 130 jobs are under threat at its two sites in Lanarkshire, Scotland. The plants at Moodiesburn and Bellshill employ a total of around 520 people. The company has announced the planned redundancies as part of a plan to modernise production concentrating on the most up to date technology. 

A 45 day consultation period involving the Unite trade union, the Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise has been announced.
