Description
UK supermarket chain Tesco has announced that it is to introduce new Giraffe cafes at six of its large Tesco Extra stores. The move is expected to create 200 new jobs. The cafes are scheduled to open in the summer of 2014. They will be located at stores in Cheam, Cirencester, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Poole, West Durrington and Glasgow.
Tesco took ownership of the Giraffe brand in March 2013 in a £50 million deal. Co-founders husband and wife team Russel and Juliette Joffe remain in the business as managers.
