The commercial court of Bar-le-Duc has agreed the take over of the Sodetal plant of Tronville-en-Barrois (Meuse) by the Russian group AWT Russia that will keep 152 jobs on a total workforce of 316 employees. About 164 jobs will be cut. Sodetal was a subsidiary of the German group Saarstahl. It was placed into receivership since December 2013. The court approved the social plan with a budget of € 13 million and forbid the new owner to relocate the most competitive machines from the plant without the previous agreement of the court.
