Slovenia wearing apparel producer Aha Mura is to cut 1,138 jobs after having declared bankruptcy on May 23rd 2014, being unable to settle its tax bill. On May 29th 2014 the employees were informed of the layoff with a 15-day notice period. In June 2013, 300 employees were already laid off (see previous fact sheet).
Update 26/06/2014: As reported by national newspapers, 435 out of 1,138 employees who were initially laid-off will continue working until further notice to ensure that existing orders are carried out. Thus, at present, the actual loss is of 703 jobs.
