Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Multinational France-based manufacturing group Vallourec has announced a restructuring at its two plants in Saint-Saulve (Nord) with 250 job cuts and the creation of 60 new jobs. According to the sources the measure aims to improve the competitiveness of the sites and deal with the low market demand.
As announced, the negotiations on the social plan have already started and is expected that forced dismissals will be avoided and that 145 jobs will be cut by means of natural attrition in the next two years with some staff also having the possibility of internal transfer within the goup.
