European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Stove producer and distributor Wanders, employing 113 people, is to close following a commercial court decision for liquidation. The company has its headquarters in Condorcet (Dröme), a plant in Bailleul (Nord) and a network of shops in France.
As reported, the closure may affect negatively also the network of external distributors. According to the sources the reasons of the bankruptcy seem to be a too fast increase of activities combined with management failures. Takeover plans by two possible byuers didn't succeed.
