Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German engineering company ZF is to double its production capacity and will gradually create 115 new jobs at its site in Stankov near the city of Domazlice. The business expansion with an investment of CZK 150 million is to start in summer 2014 and will continue in 2015. The company, which produces construction machinery axles and gearboxes for forklifts, intends to open a new manufacturing hall and to launch the production of three new products in 2015. Consequently, most of the new jobs will be created in 2015. As reported, the company is thriving economically and dozens of people have been already recruited since the beginning of 2014.
Globally, ZF has 121 production locations in 27 countries with approximately 71,500 employees.
