Description
Robert Bosch, a German company specialising in the manufacture of car parts, has announced that it will cut 240 jobs at its plant in Castellet i la Gornal in Barcelona (Spain). As part of the restructuring the firm also intends to cut its costs by 26%.
According to the source, the company plans to gradually cut jobs from 400 to around 160-180 by 2018. The workers’ council, made up by members of the unions UGT and CCOO has rejected the measure. The workers council has called for 6 days of partial strikes to be held between 15 May and 29 May.
