Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish construction equipment manufacturer Volvo Construction Equipment plans to cut 160-170 jobs at the site in Eskilstuna, Sweden.
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is planning to move warehouse operations from the site in Eskilstuna, Sweden to the site in Gent, Belgium, affecting 160-170 employees in Eskilstuna. Volvo CE is planning to keep distribution, production and warehouse activities for the Nordic countries in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The site in Eskilstuna also recieves the warehouse operations and 40 employees from the site in Gothenburg, Sweden. The planned restructuring will be executed by the end of 2015.
