Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The German company Draxlmaier, manufacturer of components for the automotive industry, has announced that it will create 500 jobs in Pitesti when it opens a new workstation based in the west province, in Timisoara.
The workstation, called Sisteme de Producţie Cablaje, will produce spare parts and wiring for one of the largest car manufacturers in the world. The Draexlmaier Group began its operations in Romania in 1993 and now has over 14,000 employees working in five production areas.
The ERM previously reported on restructuring at Draxlmaier in Romania in 2010, 2008a and 2008b.
