Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Spanish hotel chain Husa has announced a labour force adjustment plan which will cut approximately 300 jobs across its hotels. According to the plan two thirds of Husa’s 458 staff will be made redundant.
According to the source, the company is currently in administration proceedings with its creditors. The labour force adjustment plan is being negotiated with a board made up by 13 employees’ representatives, from each of the different hotels. Specific details about the dismissals have not been made public yet.

Spanish hotel chain Husa will finally dismiss 369 employees. Dismissed workers will receive a severance pay equal to 20 days per year worked up to a maximum of 12 months. The measure has been agreed by the bankruptcy administrator, the company management and the worker representatives
