French retailer, Leroy Merlin, will create between 150 and 180 jobs its new store which will open in San Cugat (Barcelona) in 2015.
According to the source, the company will invest €18 million in the construction of the store. The source also notes that the company has signed an agreement with the San Cugat’s town council to offer employment to people who are currently registered as unemployed in the area.
The announcement forms part of a larger expansion plan by Leroy Merlin, as the company intends to open 22 new stores across Spain over the next five years. The ERM previously reported on restructuring at Leroy Merlin in 2011.
