Online retailer Ocado has announced a major new recruitment drive. 1000 jobs are to be created at various sites in the Midlands and the South East. 800 of the jobs will be for 'personal shoppers' at the Dordon site in Warwickshire to receive, pack and load customers' orders. 100 vacancies are at the new hub at Ruislip and there are 80 positions for customer service team members at the Wimbledon site. There are also 100 positions for software engineers, tech professionals and technicians to be based at the Hatfield site. The timeline for the expansion plans is not yet available.
