Description
KSM, a private surveillance firm, has announced it will cut 100 jobs in Sicily. The jobs cuts will affect security guards employed by KSM. KSM will cut jobs at the sites in Palermo (50), Caltanissetta (25), Enna (15) and Agrigento (10).
According to the media source, the job cuts result from growing competition in the market and shrinking demand for their services.
The media source reports that trade union and company representatives are negotiating and they hope to reach an agreement about unemployment benefits and early retirement.
