European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Supermarket chain Asda has announced that it is to cut 200 jobs. 150 jobs will be lost at the head office in Leeds and 50 at the Lutterworth offices of its George fashion business.
The redundancies are designed to remove duplication in the business and to make efficiency savings to enable more effective competition.
