Description
Danish-based telecommunication company TDC will create 200 jobs in Flensburg (Schleswig-Holstein) by opening a new call centre by June 2014.
A spokesperson said that the decision for Flensburg results from wages which are 25 to 30% below the Danish standard.
The company does not plan to reduce staffing levels in Denmark, but trade union Dansk Metal, which represents most of the employees at TDC's call centres, fears that jobs will be relocated to Germany.
