Description
Finnish Wärtsilä, a provider of power solutions for the marine and energy markets, is to cut 150 jobs (out of 1,500) at its three Italian plants, located in Genoa, Naples and Trieste. The job cuts are part of a global restructuring plan involving approximately 1,000 job losses worldwide. The trade unions reacted to the company’s decision by going on strike.
