Description
On 20 February 2014 the municipality of Amsterdam announced it will cut at least 900 jobs in the coming two years. Background to the restructuring are budget cuts by the central government and the requirement to make operations more efficient. Forced dismissals will be avoided as much as possible. Since 2010 the number of jobs in the city authority have already been reduced from 15,714 to the present 12,900.
