Description
Japanese car manufacturer Toyota is to recruit 500 additional employees in Onnaing near Valenciennes (North) by the end of June 2014. The contracts will be made on a temporary basis with duration of more than 6 months. The recruitment will be done from February to May.
Toyota intents to increase the production of a new car model produced at Onnaing. The company will introduce night and weekend shifts.
The ERM reported on job creation at the same Toyota plant in 2011.
Updated, 02-09-2014: Toyota has announced to increase its production of its new car model (Yaris) to reach a production of 225,000 cars per year (+17pc). 50 of the current temporay workers will be hired on permanent employment contract by December 2014.
