Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 30 January 2014, Bilfinger Crist Offshore announced plans to create 100 jobs at the factory of steel foundations for offshore wind turbines in Szczecin (the Euro-Park Mielec Special Economic Zone) by the end of 2014. In 2014, the company will recruit workers who will work on the last stage of facility completion.
The company has started recruiting welders, electricians, locksmiths, industrial painters, forklift operators.The company will provide special trainings and workshops for at least 216 employed workers. Bilfinger Crist Offshore plans to employ in total 500 people by the end of 2015.
The investment is carried out by the construction and industrial services provider Bilfinger, Polish steel construction company Crist and the state-owned investment fund MARS managed by the Industrial Development Agency.
