European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Móstoles Industrial, specialized in construction, furniture and logistics, aims to dismiss 180 workers (70% of its entire workforce) and to cut wages by 20%.
Negotiations with the unions will last until the 21 February. According to the unions, the company has announced its disposition to reduce the number of dismissals from 180 to 160. Moreover, wage reductions may be dismissed.
This is the fourth downsizing implemented by the company in four years. The union estimates that 360 workers were dismissed in the last two years.
