Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Elk, manufacturer of prefabricated houses, announced that it will hire 100 new employees in Schrems, Lower Austria, starting now. The positions will be for electricians, tilers, plumbers, painters and carpenters. These employees are expected to work in the assembly of houses and property businesses all over Europe.
The search for new employees is expected to be difficult, not only because of a lack of skilled workers, but also due to the decreasing readiness for mobility among young employees.
In 2011, the ERM reported on the company’s plans to hire 100 new employees in Austria and the Czech Republic.
