Description
Fire protection and security company Tyco is to create 500 jobs over the next three years in a new business services centre in Bishopstown, Co Cork. The new jobs will be in sourcing and procurement, customer service, research and development, information technology and finance roles.
The company’s vice president said Tyco selected Ireland for its new centre because of its knowledge base as well as the "availability of a strong technical workforce".
The company had previously employed 500 people in manufacturing facilities in Cork and Shannon, but they closed in 2007 and 2008 due to competitiveness factors.
