Description
State-owned Holland Casino announced it will cut 150 to 200 jobs. As announced all its 14 branches will be affected. As reported, the cost cutting restructuring is part of a new strategic plan aimed at boosting profitability after financial difficulties in recent years. Holland Casino has recently announced a restructuring plan affecting its headquarters in Hoofddorp. The timeline for the plan is not yet available. Over 2013, the number of employees already decreased with 750. Holland Casino faces increased competition from on line betting. The exact timeline of the restructuring is as yet unclear.
Update 17-04-2014: Following industrial action, the unions reached an agreement with Holland Casino on a social plan for employees who will be made redundant. The unions also won the right to nominate one of their members to the supervisory board.
