Description
US-based global producer and distributor of labeling and packaging materials Avery Dennison announced plans to move its label manufacturing activities from the Netherlands (Hazerswoude-Rijndijk) to its site in Schwelm in Germany.
As reported, 186 jobs are to be lost and the relocation will gradually take place by the summer of 2015. According to the sources, the restructuring is in a bid to improve competitiveness in the aftermath of the economic crisis and the demand for cheaper products. Avery Dennison currently employs approx. 600 people in the Netherlands.
