European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 10 January 2014, the management of the Szpital Specjalistyczny in Kościerzyna (Specialist Hospital in Kościerzyna) announced plans to implement a collective dismissals programme affecting between 150 and 233 jobs by the end of August 2014. The dismissals will affect all groups of workers, excluding residents and interns. The job cuts are associated with the bad financial situation of the hospital (the institution is highly indebted). The local trade unions are considering industrial action.
